SO much has happen....

I apologize for being horrible at keeping this updated...my new goal is to post more often, especially with all the great fall holidays coming up. My mother and I have also expended our locations, we now have a space at Old Glory general store in Riverside, CA. Which is a fun Antique store to do your treasure hunts. I will need to do a post with more about our space there and all the great items we found.

Since the last post, we have added some vintage jewelry to the space. We have a beautiful selection of some hand painted porcelain, like that super cute lipstick holder.

Found this beautiful robin blue dresser that was hand painted by Cindy Ellis. Definitely a one of a kind item that would be beautiful in someone's ones shabby/cottage chic bedroom.

Here is a few more items to view, Please come by our booth we are bringing new items in every week. And there WILL be a ton of great holiday items coming soon.

I will be getting some photos of our new location at Old Glory up very soon.

Red suitcase

I mentioned that great red suitcase in the previous blog and realized that you can't see it in the pictures. The little red suitcase is one of those hardshell ones, with pretty satin fabric that has a rose pattern. The interior and exterior of the suitcase are in excellent condition. I wanted to share how great it is because when i was flipping through a magazine today i saw a cute vintage leather suitcase that someone turned into a dog bed. Which is one of those great ways of using something you love in another useful way instead of putting the suitcase away in the closet for no one to appreciate...right? I should look up more creative ways to use those wonderful vintage suitcase, that will be on the list for future blog entries.

What do we look like...

I went by the booth today to get some photos of our space, so our vintage lovers know what we have or what our booth looks like when they come by the Mission Galleria in Downtown Riverside. We are located all the way in the back, down the far right aisle, right before you turn left to the jeweler's location. IF anyone who follows these direction please tell me if they don't make sense. I will need to make a visual map.

We try to have a good variety of items because we know that everyone loves something different. A little bit of Pink depression, some cute Josef original dolls, fun vintage salt and pepper shakers, few vintage tablecloths, a super cool red suitcase that I am surprised it is still there, and soooo much more. Tell me if you have stopped by and what you think, love to hear what everyone's opinion is, also please feel free to ask for something you're looking for, I am always more then happy to keep a look out for something special you're looking for while out and about.

If you don't find something you like in our booth, then the plus side of coming by is that this is a large 3-story Antique mall-type location so you will be looking around for hours, probably finding something you have to buy.

Welcome to Lili's Nest

My Mother and I went into business together, starting small, we went and got a space at the Mission Galleria Antique store, which is located Downtown Riverside. We've always wanted to have a family business but I think we all made excuses not to. I just started to push the idea of doing this antique booth thing with my mom because we both LOVE yard sale-ing, we both enjoy antique and vintage items (each in our own way) and I think we have a special sense in interior design/display. So in all reality, WHY NOT....right? yes ...times are tough, but I think it's meant to be for us to do this now. We have recently met people who have given us great advice and help, AND everything seems to be falling into place to our advantage. SO here I am today...

I wanted to start this blog to get in touch with my local Antique-er and Vintage lovers. One because I love it and two...because I want to share it with others. My plan with this blog is to share cool new items we find which will be located at our antique space to buy, announce whenever we have a SALE, any interesting info I want to share regarding collecting or decorating and much more along the way. Please come back and read, share ideas, and leave a comment because I would love to get to know and be involved with my community!!!
